Communication

Throughout life, we all need to communicate to ensure our wants, needs and desires are met. Parkinson’s, strokes, TBI, anoxic brain injuries etc. can all lead to difficulty expressing your self fully. It may feel isolating and lonely; however, using our SLP services, we will do our best to help you reach your goals and help guide you throughout the process. Whether you are having difficulty with voice, oral motor/lingual coordination, speech, language, memory, executive functioning, processing speed, mental flexibility or thought organization, together we will tailor your plan of care, to your goals.

Swallowing

When swallowing difficulties arise, people are often left confused on what to do and most are not educated on the complex swallow process. Here, we can using manual exercises or resistance therapy (Ampcare ESP - if appropriate) to ensure you are able to consume the least restrictive diet. MBSS (swallow study under X-ray) results are recommended to ensure all anatomy/physiology is known for best outcomes.
